Happy Birthday Oma

Today is my grandmother's 97th birthday! She is an amazing person with so many stories to tell. She came to this country alone when she was only 16, speaking only German. I bet she never thought she'd have two great-grandchildren from China!

Today was also the first day Larry went back to work, so it was just me and the girls. Julie had numerous major meltdowns throughout the day, which isn't surprising I suppose. The reality of sharing Mommy is really sinking in. Melody is doing really well and is even sleeping better. She has gone down without upset the past two nights, and has only woken up once each night. When she did, she called out "eh?" a few times, as if to say "is it time to get up?", but then went back to sleep. Naps are harder, but I don't mind working through sleep stuff at 2PM nearly as much as at 2AM!

Julie still likes to help with the bottle almost every time.

I'm such big stuff propped up like this!

Melody's dedication ceremony at church:

Sunday evening picnic with neighbors:

Gotta love the juice moustache!

My own little seat.

Beautiful matching dresses from good friend Lisa. Thank you!! You can also see an exersaucer in the background. Thank you, Alta, for lending it to us!

Counting my toes and sporting the band-aid that I just had to have (she comes to me saying "want owie," which I think is pretty funny).

I'm happy to play with the wrappers from my sister's fake owies!

Hi Erica!

Glad to hear that Melody is sleeping better. That gives mom more time to recuperate;) The pictures are great! Looking forward to meeting Melody soon.

Hey Erica! I just spent a while reading all of your posts! WOW! What a journey! I am so glad you have all made it home safely and are getting back into somewhat of a routine. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE let me know if there's anything I can do to help. ANYTHING! And also, we have an infant carseat that attaches to a base in the car if you're still looking for one. Let me know, and we can get that to you as soon as possible. I wish I had read your blog earlier so I could have been of more help to you. And please know, that I will be praying for you and your family! Melody is beautiful! Congratulations! In Him, Lisa Womacks
