Can you guess what Joseph is touching in this picture? The only hint I'll give you is that I had never touched anything like it before this day, and that it was pretty cool!

Beautiful Landscape

I am slowly starting to process what it means to be in this new place that seems so different from our old place. One of the positive aspects is the absolutely gorgeous scenery here. We are surrounded by rolling hills, woods, trails, lakes, streams and even waterfalls. Here's a picture of our family in one of our favorite parks so far.

Here's a waterfall at another park. If you look closely, you can see some tiny people down below to give you some perspective.

I came across this today and it spoke to so many things on my heart right now. Maybe it will speak to you too.

A Mother's Prayer

Help me dear Lord, as a mother, I pray
And bless these hands folded in prayer today;
May they be ever strong as they guide, as they teach,
Beings never too far for a child to reach.
May they never, with selfishness, try to dissuade,
Nor too quickly punish, nor too slowly aid.
May they point out the pleasures in laughter and song,

Father and Son

I love these shots. Right now they also bring back memories of "home" since they were taken before we moved. I have some of the girls to post too...I hope to find more computer time as things settle into more of a rhythm around here. Happy belated Easter to you all!
