Tomorrow Julie will have ear surgery to determine the cause of the bleeding that began on March 7th. Yes, her ear has been bleeding for 4.5 months. Our move really complicated things, not helped by the fact that the medical system in our new area is not like the one we left. It is not easy to navigate and getting specialty care takes soooo long. That is one of the issues that has made our transition here more challenging than I expected. In fact, we are currently planning to take Melody back to Chicago for surgery in September because we can't find any comparable care here. In any case, we would appreciate your prayers tomorrow for Julie and for her doctor, that he can figure out the cause of the bleeding and do something to stop it. I will update when I know more. Thank you!
