Memorial Day parade...and first lost tooth!
Running in a kids' race. I think this one should be in Runner's World :).
Potter math: 3 kids + 1 box of packing peanuts = snow-suited fun 4 all!
In other events, Julie turned 6 yesterday! That is seriously hard to believe. She was so little when we first met. Now she chatters non-stop and asks questions that bend my mind into knots. Thankfully she usually moves on to the next question before I figure out how to get out of answering the one I don't know. I'm trying to remember one to share right now, but they are so unusual and she asks to many that I just can't recall one right now. I'll try to jot one down to share another time.
Also, Joseph is now 18 months old! He is one busy boy. He, too, chatters non-stop. In fact, he put 5 words together the other day. We were in the car and he wanted Daddy to turn on the music, so he instructed "Dada push button wight dere!" Usually he sticks to 3 or 4 word sentences like "Dada soda drink" or "Butterfly (pronounced buh-da-da) Mama leg" (re-telling the story of one landing on my leg) or "Grandma bed bshhhhh" (imitating the sound of the air mattress deflating) or "Daddy puter button push." It is so fun to hear what he's thinking! One of my favorite phrases is after he gets a bump and he declares "bump foot/hand/etc, kiss it!" He also continues to be very active and agile. He can walk a curb like a balance beam and he's trying hard to jump off too. We're still waiting on his last 4 teeth to come in, but judging by the crankiness of late, they could be right around the corner!
As for houses, we are very grateful that our old place sold. Sadly, we kind of botched the deal on the new place and didn't get it. I know it's just a house, but I am really sad. We've driven by lots of other places and nothing compares to that one. Is it wrong to pray that the other buyer's deal falls through? That's about all I have to say about it because it still bothers me a lot. It also reminds me of how much I miss home and everything we left behind. I keep hoping it will get easier here, but so far it hasn't. Maybe time will help or maybe we need to find a way out of here. Only God knows, I suppose. I hope He will help us all find a place to belong soon.
Thanks for reading!

I love the updates about the kiddos and I think Melody's pic is just great!! Sorry about the deal falling through, that must have been so disappointing. Will continue to pray for adjustments and peace from God.
hugs,
Bethanne
So glad you updated! I love all the pictures :) I think it's awesome that your previous home sold so (relatively) quickly. I'm sorry that the home you had your eye on sold before you could get it, but as God is pounding into my head lately, even though I think I know what would be totally great for our family, isn't as great as what He has in store for us! Hang in there :)
Happy Birthday Julie! Great to read how it is going! Good luck in the house hunt. You'll find the "right" one in time!
Take care!
Lisa, Len and Becca
Julie looks like such a little girl! wow! i meant to tell you too-jamie doesn't talk-AT ALL! haha! he seriously says maybe 5 words. That's pretty generous. He does some hand signals/signs and for the most part seems to understand most of what we say (what other 16 month old actually stops whining when you ask him?) but no real words. My prediction is an all at once explosion close to 2 years old. I love hearing about Joseph's words. So cute!
I can't believe it's been so long since I checked in the kids have grown a TON! wow! Love the pictures. Can't wait to hear more of our new adventure and hopefully the perfect house. :)
Hugs!
