Julie has experienced a few firsts recently. Can you guess what they are from the pictures?
In case you need some help...
1) She got glasses and is now officially "just like Mommy!"
2) She started riding the bus to preschool as of today! She's been asking me every day for months, so I finally made the arrangements and off she went. She was really sad when she got home because she had to leave the bus behind. I was a little sad to let go of my baby a little bit more by sending her on the bus, but it helped to see how much she loved it. Plus, Melody I got about 45 minutes of time back that we used to spend in the car. All in all a good deal.
3) This isn't a Julie first, but today was the first time Melody wore hard-soled shoes instead of her Robeez! Yesterday her Robeez turned her socks red after we went outside on the damp ground, so I figured it was time to try the Stride Rites we had tucked away in the attic. Success!
My girls are growing so so fast...

I noticed the glasses right away. She's so cute in them. I wore glasses from age 3 and so I really don't remember life without them.
It's always bittersweet when the grow up and learn independence.
