Beautiful Julie

Julie is in the midst of a language spurt right now and it's so much fun. At lunch, Melody knocked her plate onto the floor, to which Julie responded, "Meddy, don't do dat!" I've never heard her say that phrase before! Last week, Julie and I attended Family Fun Night at her school. There were games to play and prizes to pick. Needless to say, Julie loved it. In the car the other day she said to me "play Mommy at party at school" and then "more party" and "again party." I got the message! It's truly amazing to hear her putting more thoughts together and expressing herself. Here are some pictures of my beautiful girl.

She loooooves to paint. We should buy stock in Crayola!

Yes, that's a french fry in Melody's mouth. I chose this photo becuase I love Julie's beaming expression in the background.

Once again, Julie is wearing Melody's clothes. I got out the 18 month box the other day to see if any of it would fit Melody. Julie saw these pants and had to put them on. The funny thing is that they don't look half bad! This illustrates our challenge in finding clothes to fit Julie. They have to be as skinny as 12 or 18 months but as long as 3T or even 4T. Most things that are long enough could fit two of Julie in them width-wise! Anybody know any good skinny brands? This is not a problem I've ever dealt with in my lifetime, ha!

(Sorry if there are any misspellings in recent posts. The spell check button in Blogger doesn't seem to be working. I know, I could paste into Word and check there, but I could also just post and live with mistakes. I hope you don't mind!)

A friend of mine w/ the same problem said that summer is better-you can buy 18 month shorts and although she'll daisy-duke-it, it doesn't matter quite as much as high-watering-it with pants. :)

If i had this problem (with my kid), I think i would just have her wear overalls all the time! I have a feeling in the near future those words will be put to the test.

Two words: adjustable waistbands.

You can find them at Gymboree or in the Carter's brand. I can't remember if Gap or Old Navy has them, too. I think it's Gap.

Julie is adorable!

I think the target brand has them as well-or at least used to..

Don't know if this posted the first time or not...

Now that we're away from the "Great Firewall of China" I can comment AND watch videos. Oh, the freedoms I miss...

Julie looks so tall in those pants! Cute, cute girls! If you get a chance, post a video during the next few days. I'd love to see the girls in action before I'm back in blocked territory!

WOW!!! The girls are just growing by leaps and bounds.

That is wonderful news about Julie and Melody's language and growth spurts.

I love the photographs you capture of your girls. Thank you for sharing them!!!

Wonderful news on Julie's speech progress! I'm sure she will really have you cracking up with some of her sayings!

Pants are a problem around here too (for DD1). There are some brands that have slims. I love the warmer weather - cause then you can put them in capris or shorts and not worry about it! We do have lots of belts too. And we do wear a lot of leggings (gymboree).
